Take That are coming to Nottingham. Here's everything you need to know (2024)

Excitement is building for thousands of Take That fans with just days to go before their return to Nottingham. Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald will be performing two outdoor gigs next weekend at the City Ground.

Take That: This Life On Tour will be the first gig at the home of Nottingham Forest since July 2005 when REM, supported by Idlewind and the Zutons, rocked the football stadium - in the rain. The 90s boyband have added a second show after the rush to buy tickets, with gigs on May 25 and 26.

The band have come a long way since one of their earliest gigs in Nottingham - then a five-piece with Robbie Williams and Jason Orange- when they performed at a Nottingham school in 1991. A few months later, Old Market Square, was a scene of hysteria when the fresh-faced young lads performed at the Christmas lights switch-on.

This Life On Tour is a two-hour show, including a mix of old and new, with songs from Take That & Party, released in 1992, through to the band's latest album This Life, released last year. Fans can expect numbers such as Keep Your Head Up, Days I Hate Myself, Patience and Rule The World.

The shows have received rave reviews from both critics and fans alike. Take That are being supported on tour by special guest Olly Murs, who will be performing fan favourites such as Dear Darlin' and Heart Skips a Beat.
